Data involved
- Statistics on visits: pages opened, the referring address, time spent, scroll depth, taps on links and buttons, and device basics like screen size, language and time zone.
- Clearing plan answers: worked out on your device. Only the body area you picked is added to the analysis link, and only if you open that link.
- Hosting logs: IP address, browser type and the page requested, kept briefly for security and to keep the site running.
Route of the statistics
Statistics go from your browser to /api/flag on this domain, and from there to an analytics provider (EU) with storage inside the European Union. Your IP address travels with them so an approximate location can be estimated. A random code kept in session storage groups the pages of a single visit; it is wiped when the tab closes, so separate visits stay separate.
Visitors whose device uses a European time zone are asked first, at the bottom of the screen, and nothing is counted unless they agree.
Leaving for the analysis
"Start my analysis" buttons go through howtogetridoffungalacne.com/yeast-check to acne.today, a separate service you pay for. The link tells acne.today which site and button you came from and, if you used the clearing plan, its result. acne.today's own privacy policy covers your photo, answers and payment there.
Legal basis
- EU visitors' statistics: consent, which you can take back at any time through "Statistics choice" in the home page footer.
- Other visitors' statistics and hosting logs: legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
- Your emails: necessary to reply to you.

Retention
Hosting logs: up to 90 days. Emails: only as long as needed to help, two years at most.

The analytics provider and the hosting provider, each limited to what its task needs. No data is sold.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, a copy, limits on use, or object to processing. Email privacy@howtogetridoffungalacne.com; we answer within four weeks. You may also go to your local data protection authority.
